Privacy policy

The short version

You don’t need an account. Most of what you enter stays in your own browser. We don’t collect your name, email or other contact details.

Stored in your browser

To remember your choices, the site saves these on your device using your browser’s storage. They never leave your device unless noted below, and you can clear them anytime in your browser settings.

• Your state (for tax estimates), what you pay now, and whether you use AutoPay
• Saved plans, your streaming list, and your carrier and internet provider
• Your last coverage check and your answers in the plan finder, phone deal and switching tools

Sent to other services

• Address and place searches are sent to a geocoding service (the US Census geocoder or OpenStreetMap’s Nominatim) to find the location.
• Coverage and internet availability checks send map areas (not your address) to the FCC’s public mapping service.
• The coverage map loads map images from CARTO, which receives the map area you’re viewing.
• Links to carriers and providers take you to their websites, which have their own privacy policies.

Like any website, these services and our host receive your IP address and browser details when your browser contacts them.

Analytics

We count page visits with Vercel Web Analytics, provided by our hosting company. It doesn’t use cookies or track you across other sites. It records the page address (without search or filter settings), referring site, browser, operating system, device type and country, and reports them to us only in aggregate.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete the information we hold about you. California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including to know, delete and correct personal information and to opt out of its sale or sharing; we don’t sell or share it for cross-context advertising. Children

planpeek isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date above. Significant changes will be announced on the site.
